Hi, I'm Ben.

Photographer, filmmaker, and visual storyteller based in Dorset.

I’ve always been fascinated by stories — how they’re told, who tells them, and the way a single image or moment can make people feel something real. My journey started with acting. I wanted to perform, to inhabit characters, to connect with audiences. That led me to study Drama at A-Level — and when I had to choose a full timetable, I picked a BTEC in Creative Media.

Even while working full-time in a warehouse, I taught myself how to use a DSLR, experiment with lighting, and make short films. It wasn’t easy, but it gave me a deep understanding of what goes into making people and stories look their best on camera.

"I know what it feels like to be on camera. I know how vulnerable it can feel. And I know how to make that experience feel comfortable and collaborative."

Since then, I’ve worked across indie films, weddings, and business projects. One highlight was acting in a short film that has screened at six international festivals. For that project, I also captured behind-the-scenes photos and video, producing the Electronic Press Kit (EPK).

Ubuntu & The Human Element

My work is guided by the philosophy of Ubuntu: "I am because we are." I believe the best visuals come from collaboration and shared moments, not posed perfection.

I’ve also always loved observing life. Growing up surrounded by pets, from my family’s guinea pigs and a beloved Labrador named Franco, to now sharing life with Barney and Freddy, my Sprocker and Boxer Spaniels, I learned early how much personality can be found in the smallest gestures.
